The Bottega is an artists collective that hosts workshops in different media. We are especially interested in a holistic approach to art-making, where artists are involved in the different phases o procuring materials and fabricating pigments from local natural resources. As fresco painters, our goal is to provide a service to the community, in researching and recuperating historical structures, but also provide a hands-on learning experience for students, teachers, and artists. We also offer an annual painting and food workshop in Venice, Italy, where we explore the relationship between artistic and culinary traditions in one of the most important trading centers of the Renaissance.
