The Chordal Spaces made organizing tone and space prior to Narrative. That INFORMATION was always present, in the form of what I called Marginalia, on the periphery of the painting, (and somehow citing Kierkegaard), an accumulation and registry of Data. These peripheral segments can be lined up and confronted, aligned, like audio tracks in a mix. So you take a Choral space and you slice it in four tracks and shift them, infinitely. It is coincidental, Music is where things fall. They overcome organic recovery, parts and butts, by relating tone to time To color to shade to saturation, noisegate, release. So a painting, whether a poetic one or not is a duration of timeeven if just 2 seconds of track, looped throbs and gathers momentum. Tone poems are orchestral works by definition, illustrating a narrative in the more abstract medium of music. These Tone Poems are a righteous misnomer, and why not. Poetry is music is painting and vice versa ad infinitum.
